New TFK-funded collaboration strengthens CoRE-Math partnership with Rwanda

Prof Lassi Roininen (Lappeenranta–Lahti University of Technology, Finland) has been awarded a €68,000 grant under the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) TFK programme for the period August 2026 – December 2028. The project will support collaboration between Lappeenranta–Lahti University of Technology, the University of Rwanda, and AIMS-Rwanda in the topic of Applied Mathematics for Earth Observation. By strengthening links with Rwanda and AIMS, the project is expected to enhance joint research activities and support the development of mathematical expertise addressing societal challenges.
