Teklemichael Worku successfully defends his PhD in Mathematics.

Teklemichael Worku, defended his PhD Dissertation titled "On Reduced Submodules of Finite Dimensional Polynomial Modules and a Generalization of Torsion Functor" on February 10, 2025 at the Department of Mathematics, Addis Ababa University. He was supervised by Professor Prof. David Ssevviiri from Makerere University, Dr. Nega Arega from Namibia University of Science and Technology and Dr. Tilahun Abebaw from Addis Ababa University. Teklemichael has received financial support from the International Science Programme (ISP)

Second stage of Mathematics Competitions in Rwanda

On 21st February 2025 the department of Mathematics at the University of Rwanda together with its partners is conducting the Seventh Rwanda Mathematics Competition at Provincial level: second stage. The total number of participants is 950 students. The best from this round will go to the National level. Thanks to management the University of Rwanda College of Science and Technology for the support.
