MARM Partnership Grants 2026/27: Applications Open

3 November 2026

The London Mathematical Society is inviting applications for the 2026/27 round of its Mathematics in Africa: Research and Mobility (MARM) Partnership Grants.

The programme offers grants of £4,000 to support partnerships between mathematics departments in Africa and the UK or Europe. It aims to build lasting research relationships, strengthen mathematical networks and infrastructure in Africa, and support collaboration with colleagues and students.

Previous partnerships have supported research visits, lectures and workshops, joint PhD supervision, mentoring for early-career researchers, and the development of postgraduate programmes. Each partnership sets its objectives collaboratively, reflecting the priorities of the participating African institution.

This opportunity is particularly relevant to members of the CoRE-Math network seeking to develop or strengthen collaborations across Africa and Europe. We encourage colleagues to explore the call and share it within their institutions and networks.

Application deadline: 18 January 2027 at 23:59 GMT.

Full details, application guidance and separate application forms for applicants in Africa and the UK/Europe are available on the London Mathematical Society’s MARM webpage.
