ARUA Early Career Fellow completes research visit at Makerere

4 November 2026

Dr. Chenceline Fouedji Epse Lekeufack, a lecturer in physics at the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon, completed a six-month ARUA Early Career Research Fellowship at Makerere University, Uganda, from April to September 2026.

Her research applies mathematical modelling to cellular processes and tumour dynamics, particularly the role of the MARCKS protein in cancer.

During her fellowship, she presented a seminar at Makerere’s Department of Mathematics on 16 September entitled From Spatiotemporal Cell Dynamics to Tumor Dynamics: A Multiscale Mathematical Modelling Approach to MARCKS Protein in Cancer.

The fellowship illustrates CoRE-Math’s contribution to supporting early-career researchers and interdisciplinary mathematical research collaboration across Africa.
