The Math4SDG project at the University of Dar es Salaam is organising a programme combining practical training in data analysis and machine learning with collaboration between students, university researchers and industry representatives.
Programme activities
18–23 November 2026 — Training and industry engagement
Twenty-five students will develop their Python skills and work in groups on practical problems proposed by industry representatives.
3–4 December 2026 — Mathematics–Industry Workshop
Students will present their findings, while industry representatives and university staff explore opportunities for further collaboration, including research projects, internships and student projects.
The initiative aims to strengthen students’ mathematical and computational skills while developing longer-term connections between the university and industry.
